Come face to face with Britain’s largest wild land mammal close up in the Red Deer Park at the lodge. A chance for some great photos of The Monarch of the Glen.

WILD PERTHSHIRE - at the heart of Big Tree Country
Exploring the hills and woodlands with Wild Perthshire
Wild Perthshire is based in the heart of Highland Perthshire, amidst an outstanding wooded landscape - renowned as Scotland's Big Tree Country. WILDOUTDOORS - an emphasis on nature and ecology

THE NATIONAL TRUST FOR SCOTLAND (NTS) - Ranger Guided Walks
Guided Walk at The Pass of Killiecrankie
The Trust is charged with conserving Scotland's heritage, both built and natural. Across Scotland around 185,000 acres of countryside are in its care - farmland and forest, mountain and moor, waterfalls and islands as well as dramatic cliffs, rugged coastline and beautiful gardens. There are seven NTS sites in Perthshire and the Trust also operates a large programme of ranger guided walks and events from Easter until the end of October. Choose from a feast of fascinating topics including Skins and Things, Fruits of the Autumn Forest and Gardening for Wildlife. Members receive a 25% discount on walks.

ATHOLL ESTATES - Ranger Guided Walks
Enjoying the spring and the bluebells on Atholl Estates
Atholl Estates is a diverse highland estate with daily management activities concentrating on farming, forestry, tourism and upland land management. These practices have created the rich landscapes and habitats we know today. Throughout the estate visitors can enjoy 30 miles/48km of waymarked walking trails and 40miles/65km of cycle routes. Ranger guided walks include Bluebell Walks, Deer Workshops and a search for creatures of the night in the popular Dusk Watches. Events run on specific dates from Easter through until the end of October.

PERTH & KINROSS COUNCIL RANGER SERVICE - Ranger Guided Walks
Discover a whole new world of nature with the rangers!
Perth and Kinross Council manages various countryside sites spread across the area. The sites are looked after by the Countryside Ranger Service, which also provides entertaining and informative guided walks for visitors and local people on specific dates from Easter until the end of October. Learn about Watery Wildlife or Backyard Biodiversity or go Batty about Bats! - just some of the interesting events on offer.

FORESTRY COMMISSION SCOTLAND - Ranger Guided Walks

Forestry Commission Scotland's forests and woodlands are owned by the nation. They are managed to produce and supply timber, conserve wildlife and habitats and provide a range of recreation opportunities. Perthshire is one of the most-wooded parts of Scotland and has an unusually rich heritage of trees.
