Guided Cycle Rides and Cycling Events
|
Perthshire is a great area to explore by bike. It is at the heart of Scotland, both geographically and historically, with over 2000 square miles of beautiful scenery, unspoilt countryside, and an extensive network of quiet roads and tracks. Perth & Kinross Council is keen to encourage more people to cycle both for leisure and for day to day journeys such as to school, work or to the shops. Routes and facilities for cyclists are continually being developed and the Council is trying to ensure that these facilities will be well used by local people and visitors.
CYCLING SUMMER is an umbrella to encourage, facilitate and promote cycling events across Perth and Kinross. Every year there are new routes, paths and facilities to explore and our countryside lends itself to some of the best cycling in the world. Details of forthcoming events from the Perth & Kinross Council Sustainable Transport Officer T: 01738 476515.
