Horsecross' January to April brochure shows no let up in the line up of well kent and new faces who will entertain audiences in Perth Concert Hall and Perth Theatre over the coming months.
Perth Festival of the Arts
Organisers have now launched a significant part of Perth Festival of the Arts 39th programme to be staged in Perth Concert Hall, Perth Theatre and St John’s Kirk from the 19th to 30th May.
Whatever your interest and no matter what time of year you visit, Perthshire has something for everyone.
Choose from a varied and action packed programme of events that include highland games, literary, food and music festivals, sporting competitions, agricultural shows, walking festivals and theatre designed to entertain and inspire!
Regular season highlights include Perth Festival of the Arts, the Scottish Game Fair, Perth Show, Blair Castle International Horse Trials and Country Fair and the Glenfiddich Piping and Fiddling Championships. These all sit alongside a fantastic programme of events at Perth and Pitlochry Theatres, Perth Concert Hall and regular meetings at Perth Racecourse.
Other notable events taking place this year include Etape Caledonia, Perthshire Archaeology Month, the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles, The Enchanted Forest and Lightnight Perth.
Those with an interest in music can enjoy Scotland's largest music festival T in the Park, the Perthshire Amber Festival and a full programme of acoustic sessions and live gigs.
Perth 800 meanwhile is a year-long programme of events which celebrates the anniversary of the granting of the Royal Burgh Charter to Perth by King William the Lion of Scotland in 1210. An exciting and ambitious programme of heritage, sport and arts and culture events will take place throughout 2010.
