The Enchanted Forest 2010: Force of Nature
Organisers of Scotland’s premier sound and light show, The Enchanted Forest, a Perthshire Big Tree Country event, have announced they expect this year’s event to attract over 20,000 visitors, building on its award winning success in 2009.

The Enchanted Forest, now in its ninth successful year, has recently been taken over by the Highland Perthshire Community Interest Company, and entertains visitors from far and wide every Autumn.

The 2010 theme “Force of Nature” has been designed by Scottish designers Simon Wilkinson (lighting) and Ronnie McConnell (sound) whose vision to use the forest as a creative backdrop to depict some of nature’s most elemental forces: earth, wind, fire and water.

The event will take place at Forestry Commission Scotland’s Faskally Wood, near Pitlochry, from Friday 22nd October – Sunday 7th November.

Derek Allan, chair of The Enchanted Forest 2010, commented “The event has been successfully run for eight years now and the community of Highland Perthshire is delighted to be taking over the mantle to continue to grow and develop the show. We’ve worked with two of Scotland’s most exciting designers on this year’s show and we are confident it will deliver an experience that visitors will find sensational and engaging.”

During the event, visitors have an opportunity to explore the forest, making their way around a fully accessible paved walk. Visitors to the area can also enjoy the Highland Perthshire Autumn Festival events taking place in Pitlochry and surrounding areas making it a truly family event.

Organisers are expecting tickets to be in very high demand this year and, with 2009 shows selling out weeks before the event started, they are urging customers to save the dates in their diary and to snap up tickets quickly when they first become available in June.
