Canoeing & Kayaking

Paddle the Perthshire waterways in a one or two-man kayak or an open Canadian canoe. This is a great way to see Scotland from a different perspective.
Minimum age 8 years.

Canyoning
(Aberfeldy/Kenmore/By Blairgowrie/Newtonmore)
March to late October

Wet, wild and wonderful - Canyoning is all this and more! Unleash your adrenaline streak as you swim through rapids, cliff jump into deep clear pools, abseil through waterfalls and slide down natural stone 'flumes'. This one is awesome and not to be missed!
Minimum age from 12 years, under 18’s must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian.
Prices: from £30 pp per half day

Cliff Jumping
(Highland Perthshire)
March to October

Discover new personal limits and take a leap of faith into the pool below, whilst closely supervised by highly experienced and qualified instructors. A 'must-do' adventure for adrenaline aficionados!
Minimum age 16 years, under 18's must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian.

'Duckie' Trips
(Aberfeldy/Dunkeld/Kenmore)
March to October

Very similar to kayaking, ‘Duckie’s’ are inflatable ‘open’ canoes, which are extremely manoeuvrable and great fun. Choose from whitewater or flat-water scenic trips.
Minimum age 12 years, under 18’s must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian.

Gorge Walking
(Aberfeldy/Ardeonaig/Newtonmore/by Perth)
March to late October

A close relation to ‘canyoning’ which involves both ascent and descent. If you’ve never scrambled through a gorge or jumped into a gurgling plunge pool, now’s your chance with this superb outdoor challenge!
Minimum age from 8 years.
Prices: from £17 pp per half day

River Bugs
(Locations in Highland Perthshire)
May to October

Try to imagine descending fast whitewater in a cross between a raft and an armchair armed with your wet suit, bouyancy aid, helmet and hand and feet flippers ... the reality is River Bugs and participants are called 'buggers'! Strap in, sit back and go crazy!
Minimum age 12 years.
Prices: from £45 pp for a half day

River/Whitewater Rafting
(Aberfeldy/Dunkeld/Newtonmore/by Perth/Pitlochry/other Scottish locations)
Usually available all year round

Perthshire is renowned for its stunning lochs and rivers, many of which are excellent river rafting venues. A truly unforgettable experience awaits you with a spectacular combination of rugged Highland scenery and the adrenaline rush of this activity - it’s easy to understand why it’s our most popular. Get some friends together and go for it!

Sailing
(Loch Tay)

Learn about seamanship skills and terminology, how to rig your sail and pilot a single hander ‘topper’ yacht safely. A real challenge but a lot of fun to learn, with an overwhelming sense of achievement.
Minimum age 8 years, group discounts available.

Water Skiing

April to October

Feel the spray on your face as you glide across the loch and cut through the wake of the powerboat!
Restriction dependent on shoe size – minimum, adult size 4.
Prices: from £16 pp for 10 minute tow
