Did you know?
There are 18 artificially created islands on Loch Tay. They are known as Crannogs and are thought to have been in existence before 2000 BC, providing the ancient Celts with shelter from the wolves, wildcats and bears that once roamed the neighbouring forest as well as unruly neighbours. Walk over water and visit Scotland’s only authentic recreation of an Iron Age loch dwelling at the award winning Scottish Crannog Centre at Kenmore.
